Great news, Mint Fanatics! We just received word that Asian Mint won TripExpert.com’s 2018 Experts’ Choice Award. What makes this news so incredible is that less than 2% of restaurants worldwide get this award every year.
So, congratulations are in order once again to our beloved Chef Nikky Phinyawatana. And congrats to you too, our dear Mint Fanatics. Without you, none of the laurels Asian Mint has been having would be possible.
What is TripExpert.com’s Experts’ Choice Award and why does it matter?
TripExpert.com is a New York-based website that evaluates the quality of a business in the worldwide hospitality industry – hotels, restaurants, and other travel service providers – based on the reviews the said business got from various publications. What the people at TripExpert.com do is to aggregate all these reviews to come up with a score for the business being evaluated.
What sets TripExpert.com from other websites offering similar services is they pride themselves in not including user-generated reviews when calculating scores for the businesses they’re evaluating. They strongly believe that user-generated reviews can be faked or gamed and, therefore, defeats the purpose of providing readers tools to make informed decisions about the businesses they will be patronizing when they travel.
Instead of sites that rely on user-generated reviews, TripExpert.com works only with reviews written by travel journalists and professional reviewers – people who are trained to provide an educated critique of the establishment they are evaluating. These expert reviews are sourced from more than 85 publications worldwide, which include travel magazines, guides, newspapers, and blogs.
Asian Mint is in the top 4% of restaurants in Dallas-Fort Worth
According to the TripExpert.com writeup, Asian Mint is one of 24,000 hotels, restaurants, and tourist attractions from all over the planet to receive the Experts’ Choice Award. With a score of 74 points, Asian Mint is in the top 4% of all restaurants in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. As mentioned earlier, only 2% of restaurants all over the world receive this award.
According to WhereTraveler.com:
“Asian Mint serves fresh summer rolls with peanut sauce, delicate dumplings, fresh salads, a variety of pad thai dishes, stir-fries, curries, noodles and more. Enjoy a delicious dessert menu with offerings like green-tea ice-cream cake and jasmine crème brulee.”
Zagat, on the other hand, had this to say:
“Asian-fusion cuisine with a ‘newfangled twist’ is the star of these ‘bright and inviting’ contemporary eateries; despite occasional grumbles about ‘tight’ seating, it’s ‘good value for the money’ and a nice option for a ‘casual date’ or a ‘family dinner.'”
We’re definitely thrilled to have this new feather on our cap. It really shows us that we’re going in the right direction in keeping our Mint Fanatics happy and showing a good first impression on the new people entering our doors.
If you haven’t tried any of the dishes we got such awesome reviews for, we invite you to visit any Asian Mint location and try them for yourself. They could be your new favorites.
See you there!
