The next couple of months are going to be busy and loaded with fun here at Asian Mint. We’ve got exciting things cooking for you, and you just won’t want to miss them. So, save these dates and see you there.

February 7: Food in Fashion

Food in Fashion returns for its second year this February 7, and Asian Mint has signed up as one of its sponsors. This means we’re living up our Project Runway dreams and partnered with one fabulous Dallas-based designer, the fascinating Audrie Austin, to create fantastic, food-inspired fashion.

It’s fashion for a good cause. All proceeds from the Food in Fashion show will fund the Texas Restaurant Association Education Foundation’s flagship program ProStart. ProStart is a culinary and restaurant management curriculum offered in high schools in Texas.

Don’t miss the chance to watch Dallas’ best fashion designers parade their brilliant designs at 3015 at Trinity Groves this February 7. Click here to buy your tickets and here to participate in the silent auction.

February 16-17: Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year is celebrated all throughout Asia, not just in China or in the various Chinatowns spread across the planet. It’s one of the loudest, liveliest, and most colorful festivals in the Chinese calendar. A typical celebration involves fireworks, giving kids money tucked in red envelopes, making offerings to the ancestors, and lots of feasting. Many Chinese communities even host dragon dances and parades during Chinese New Year.

Chinese New Year is a special day for Asian Mint. It’s an event we’ve been observing every year since we first opened our doors. If you haven’t celebrated Chinese New Year the Asian Mint way yet, then you’re in for a treat. Aside from serving great food, we relive the Chinese custom of giving away special red envelopes. It’s a token of appreciation on our part, our way of saying “thank you” to our valued customers for being part of our family.

Dine with us on Chinese New Year this coming February 16 and 17, and you’ll receive a red envelope filled with a special surprise. Make your reservations today.

March 4: A Super-Dame Good Party

Something good always happens when women help each other succeed in their endeavors. That’s the point of Les Dames d’Escoffier International, an organization dedicated to helping women in the culinary, hospitality, wine, and fine beverage industries succeed in their field through scholarship.

In pursuit of that noble objective, the Dallas Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier is holding “A Super-Dame Good Party” this March 4 at 6500 Cedar Springs, Texas. It’s going to be an afternoon and evening of dining, wine-tasting, live auctions, and mingling with some of the most respected women in the Dallas food and hospitality scene.

Chef Nikky is participating, and she hopes to see you there. You can get your tickets to the party here.
