Charitable giving has always been part of the Asian Mint DNA. For our latest endeavor, we are sponsoring the Project Vintage Runway: Homeless to Hopeful Fashion Show, a virtual fashion show to be held on Facebook Live this Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 7 PM. This show will benefit the Union Gospel Mission (UGM) Dallas Center of Hope Women and Children’s Shelter.
Project Vintage Runway Homeless to Hopeful: Helping homeless single mothers back on their feet
The Project Vintage Runway: Homeless to Hopeful Fashion Show is an annual charity event created by global digital marketing agency The Time Group. Since its inception, this runway show has pushed a message of hope, overcoming adversity, and empowerment. The show accomplishes this mainly by using women from the UGM Dallas Center of Hope as runway models.
This runway show is going virtual this year in light of the coronavirus pandemic. It will be streamed live on Facebook. Additionally, instead of its usual couturier contest format, the program will showcase the latest creations of world-renowned fashion designers Danny Nguyen and Terri Ives.
As mentioned, the runway event benefits the UGM Center of Hope Women and Children’s Shelter. The Center offers refuge to single mothers and their children and gives them with what they need to get back on their feet. The women and children sheltering at the Center have access to beds, showers, and three meals daily. They also get opportunities to attend classes, get help in finding jobs, as well as medical assistance.
